Garage Boost integrates with Google APIs (specifically Gmail API and Google Calendar API) to provide automated garage booking intake and calendar scheduling features for garage businesses.

6.1 How We Access, Use, and Store Google User Data

  • Gmail Data Access (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly & https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.send): When you connect your Gmail account, Garage Boost scans incoming booking notification emails (such as from BookMyGarage, ClickMechanic, Fixter, and direct bookings) to extract vehicle registration, service requested, customer details, and booking times. Garage Boost also sends automated booking acknowledgments and confirmation emails through your authorized mailbox.
  • Google Calendar Access (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events): When bookings are confirmed, Garage Boost automatically creates scheduled job events with appointment time slots, reminders, repair location, and job notes directly on your Google Calendar.
  • Data Retention: We store only the extracted booking and vehicle records necessary to maintain your garage job cards and calendar sync. We do not store your full raw mailbox history or any unrelated personal emails.

6.2 Limited Use Requirements Compliance

Garage Boost's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:

  • We do not use Google user data to serve advertisements, personalized ads, or retargeting.
  • We do not sell, rent, or monetize Google user data to any third parties, brokers, or data aggregators.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as strictly necessary to provide or improve our core garage management features, comply with applicable laws, or with your explicit consent.
  • Human beings are not permitted to read your personal email data unless you have provided explicit permission for support/debugging, it is necessary for security investigations, or it is required by law.
